Squint-eye
I had a temporary shift to some other building. Well thats work, what can one do. That one has a lot more employees than my curent one.
Also had the pleasure of being introduced to many new people. Now here came the problem.
How should I talk to squint-eyed people? I met two such people this week and we exchanged pleasantries while passing later on.
But I found it impossible to judge which eye I am supposed to look into. Maintaining eye contact is a good practice but this completely baffled me.
I am sure it was embarrasing to the other person also, if he has not already got used to it. My eyes were literally moving to and fro from his one eye to other.
Unable to decide, I grew frustated. When you make eye contact with someone who does not has this problem, each of your eyes looks at the mirror opposite one.
But somehow here, I was staring at one of the eyes only. My other eye, meeting blank also shifted its gaze to the one which got eye contact.
If the other person had only one eye then I would have concentrated on only one eye of his. I thought of asking someone to be sure.
But even that seemed embarrasing to me. So does my reader know how to react in such a situation without making a fool of myself?
