Dus
I recently watched Dus Kahaniyan. Liked the concept of small stories combined together for a full length collection.
That prompted me to think. What 10 things I would love to see? Does not matter if I saw them earlier, there can always be new improved versions.
Or even they might be someplace else but I don't see or know about them. Just a small list. But having them around will be fun.
1. A different watch - I would love to own a watch in which the hour hand completes a circle only once in a day and gives the hour reading from 1 to 24. And the minutes and seconds hands should go from 1 to 60. There can be two different sets of numbers of different colours, fonts, sizes.
2. An antique phone set - I miss the old phone set. The one having numbers in a circular fashion and you would have to dial one number at a time. Of course in the new set, it won't bruise the finger or in fact it can be that one presses a number and it goes round, just for fun :)
3. Dial-a-compliment - Motivation, feel good, compliments. So scarce these days. Bitching, sarcasm, depressions So in plenty. Why not have a dial a number and hear pleasant things. As Mark Twain said "I can live for two months on a good compliment"
4. Music & Movie cafes - Rows of flat screens on a table with comfortable sofas in front and wireless headphones. Food cafe at the corner. Family rooms available Pay some bucks. Hear your fav music for an hour or watch a missed movie. The latest entertainment or even complete family outing.
5. Made to order - A shop that specialises in made to order t-shirts, posters, cards. Have a fav quote. Wear it. Why depend on manufacturers who mass produce? Have a fav pic. Display it. Put it on a card. Why depend on Archies or Hallmark?
6. Old clothes shop - I have a bunch of old clothes and I don't know what to do with them. I don't want to exchange them for anything. I don't want to sell them. Why not a shop where I can donate them? Then the shop can donate to the needy. Of course, how is the shop going to work? Well either the gov supports it or some philanthropist.
7. A fun place - Not like Essel world or any thing like the latest game rooms. Why not a Takeshi's castle? Looks fun and enjoyable. Hell, I want to try all those games and win.
8. A website - Whenever a movie releases its marketing is done. But sadly people who make documentaries don't have money to market. Why not a website to list these, with a link of youtube to watch clips. I get mad searching for good documentaries. Even in India so many are made every year. But not many people come to know about them
9. An instrument- Some technology idea. To cook many use LPG cylinders. But no instrument to measure the quantity used. Even now, we all rely on monthly calculations and guess work. If industries can have gas valves and instruments, why not houses.
10. An indicator - Why not have a digital display on the plugs of devices which consume lots of electricity to know exactly how much they use? Easy reset functionality added. Nice way to know which device should be turned off NOW and not run to the meter or wait for the monthly bill.
